Astrid works with younger and older adolescents, and adults in the following areas:

APPROACH

Astrid enjoys working with clients of various ages and backgrounds. Her strength lies in engaging her clients and building rapport to create a safe space and a trusting therapeutic relationship to facilitate positive change, increased knowledge and understanding. Astrid draws on a number of therapeutic approaches in working with her clients, tailoring her approach to fit the individual and their concerns, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Attachment Theory and Motivational Interviewing.

TRAINING

Astrid has completed a Master of Educational Sciences and a Master of Clinical Psychology.
Astrid is bilingual and provides counselling in English and Dutch.
